This workshop is focused on assisting with understanding the equity provisions in the new Strengthening CTE for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V). Participants will explore equity gaps in CTE to identify opportunities for program improvement in equity language, learning about implicit bias and how biases are communicated. The National Alliance for Partnerships In Equity’s (NAPE) Program Improvement for Equity Process (PIPE) will be introduced. It uses data to identify equity gaps, explore root causes of participation in nontraditional career paths, and explores interventions of causes.
